Made from beeswax, these candles are a good way to clean the air in your home! They are especially helpful for those with asthma or allergies as they are effective at removing common allergens from the air like dust, odors, and mold. With a hint of natural sweet honey, your room will naturally smell better. Beeswax candles burn longer since the beeswax is a much harder wax. We are addicted to burning these in our home, knowing that they are emitting so much goodness (especially during the winter time when more "germs" are floating around) and are confident that you will be, too!
When burning the pillar candle, keep in mind that it is intended for LONG burns. Initially, it should burn 6-8 hours (until the sides are soft and are about 1/4" thick). You can trim the wick as it burns, keeping it upright, so that it burns evenly.
To keep the burn centered:
- keep the wick trimmed (during the initial burn and before each burn after that)
- keep the candle level
- initial burn should be 6-8 hours. Any burn after that should be no less than 2 hours.
The wick should be trimmed to 1/4" after the initial burn, before lighting the candle. We found it beneficial to purchase a wick trimmer to take the guess work out of how short to trim the wick. We were surprised how short the wick really needed to be.
